Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe figure of 37 deaths from small-pox in the first half-year of 1928, given in the Chief Medical Officer's Annual Report for the year 1927 were, as explicitly stated in the Report, provisional and before complete returns were available. The figure was based upon a system of classification set out in the Report.
