§ Mr. W. GRAHAMThis inquiry, like that on the cotton industry, will be conducted by a sub-committee of the Committee of Civil Research. The sub-committee will consist of the Lord Chancellor, the Secretary of State for War, Sir Cecil L. Budd, Mr. C. T. Cramp, and Sir William Plender; and their terms of reference will be, "to consider and report upon the present condition and prospects of the iron and steel industries and to make recommendations as to any action which may appear desirable and practicable in order to improve the position of those industries in the markets of the world."
