§ Mr. DICKSONasked the Secretary for Mines whether he is aware that in March of this year the Fuel Research Board made an investigation and tests into the low-temperature carbonisation process 1091W carried on by Mr. Charles Turner, at Coalburn, Lanarkshire; when the Report of the Fuel Research Board is likely to be published; and whether, in view of the urgent necessity for the reconstruction of the coal industry in this country, he can do anything to expedite the Report in this case?
§ Mr. TURNERIt is the case that the tests mentioned were carried out, but it is considered desirable that a second test should be made before publication of the results.
