§ Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLEasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of complaints of the delay between the receipt of telegrams at the Central Telegraph Office and their delivery; and whether any steps are being taken to speed up deliveries?
§ Viscount WOLMERI am aware that there have been some complaints, but the delivery service is as a general rule expeditious, though it may be susceptible of improvement in regard to addresses in or near the circumference of the delivery area. The delivery arrangements both at the Central Telegraph Office and at other delivery offices in London are being examined with a view to the acceleration of the service where practicable. I shall be very glad to look into any specific cases of delay which my hon. Friend may bring to my notice.
