HC Deb 16 May 1928 vol 217 cc1048-9W

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the sale of reconstituted or synthetic cream as ordinary cream in public restaurants; and whether, in the interest of consumers, he will consider the desirability of more accurate definition?

My attention has not been drawn to any specific cases in which it is alleged that reconstituted or synthetic cream is being sold as ordinary cream in public restaurants. I am not aware of any instance in which difficulty has been caused by the absence of a definition of "cream" in the Sale of Food and Drugs Act.
