§ Commodore KINGDuring the first four months of 1928 the output of saleable coal in South Staffordshire and Worcester was 579,200 tons, the average number of wage-earners employed was 5,450 and the estimated total wages bill was £192,400. The corresponding figures for 1924 were 627,800, 6,150 and £239,300, respectively.
