asked the Home Secretary the number of parcels or articles found either in taximeter-cabs or other public conveyances and delivered to the Lost Property Office or the police of the Metropolitan area for the 12 months ended to the last convenient date; and can he give the number of umbrellas and sticks separately?

The number of articles found in taximeter-cabs and other public carriages and deposited with the Metropolitan Police during the 12 months ended 30th November, 1928, was 180,957, including 78,341 umbrellas and sticks.
