Mr. FENBY

asked the Minister of Health whether he will state for the latest available date for each of the unions in England and Wales which have authority to borrow in respect of current expenditure, the amount of the authorised borrowing powers, the amount of loans advanced on the recommendation of the Goschen Committee, the amount of loans and other drafts raised otherwise, and the loan indebtedness outstanding?

pursuant to his reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 29th November, 1926; col. 595, Vol. 223] supplied the following statement:

— Total amount of loan advanced at any time on the recommendation of the Goschen Committee. Total amount of loans or overdrafts (other than those shown in Col. 2) authorised by sanctions in force on 1st Oct., 1928. Balance of loan or overdraft raised under sanctions (shown in Col. 3) at 1st Oct., 1928. Balance of loans and overdrafts outstanding at 1st Oct., 1928.
