HC Deb 05 April 1928 vol 215 cc2157-8W
Mr. DAY

asked the Minister of Transport if the experiments carried out with the electric traffic signals which are now in use at Arlington Street, St. James's Street and Berkeley Street, Piccadilly, have been successful; and, if so, whether it is intended to extend this system further in the London area?

Colonel ASHLEY

These signals were specially designed to meet the particular traffic conditions in this area. It, is not proposed to extend the use of this particular system at present, but the desirability of making other experiments in traffic control by light signals is under consideration.
