HC Deb 04 April 1928 vol 215 c1971W
Mr. LUNN

asked the Minister of Health whether an illegitimate orphan child of a woman who has been an insured contributor to the National Health Insurance Fund for the last 10 years is granted an orphan's pension, the child being maintained by its grandparents?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

Before an orphan's pension for an illegitimate child can be paid in respect of the mother's insurance, it must be shown that both parents are dead, that the mother was a widow, and that the child was living with her at the time of her death.
