HC Deb 16 November 1927 vol 210 c1050W
Mr. T. KENNEDY

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has yet considered the memorandum submitted by the National Farmers' Union of Scotland on the subject of the game laws and deer forests; and whether he has agreed to meet the representatives of the union in order to hear from them more fully the reasons for immediate legislation, or if he proposes to introduce a measure or measures on the lines of the recommendations proposed in the memorandum?

Sir J. GILMOUR

The memorandum referred to has been under my consideration. I shall be quite prepared to receive a deputation from the representatives of the National Farmers' Union of Scotland on these subjects, but as there is no prospect of immediate legislation it will be convenient to defer any such meeting for the present, pending further examination of the question.
