§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSContractors to be eligible to tender must be on the King's Roll, if they employ more than 25 men. It is not considered practicable to prescribe the number of ex-service men whom a contractor must employ, but the attention of firms tendering for the contracts in question is drawn to the large number of ex-service men who are at present unemployed, and they are asked to state what proportion of ex-service men they are prepared to employ in the event of their obtaining the contract.
