§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSA revised Syllabus of Instruction was introduced in January, 1927. The ordinary course of instruction at the Candidates' Training School was formerly of nine weeks' duration with an extension to 16 weeks if considered necessary. These periods have now been extended to 10 and 17 weeks respectively.
