JOYNSON-HICKSApproximately, the average number of convicts attending lectures and concerts at Parkhurst prison in the year ended 30th June, 1926, was 376, and in the year ended 30th June, 1927, 167. During the latter period an average of 28 convicts also attended four special technical lectures; the subjects at classes were choral singing and band practice, and the average attendance at classes 35.
