asked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that as the result of the operation of the Eight Hours Act some 100,000 miners are thrown out of employment; and what action the Government propose taking to find employment for these men?

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. As regards the second part, the Government is already considering measures in connection with recruitment.
