§ Colonel DAYasked the Home Secretary if his attention has been called to a meeting held by the Association of Manipulative Surgeons in London, on Saturday, 27th March; whether he has received a copy of the resolution passed by this meeting, stating that unqualified bone-setters constitute a menace to the welfare of the nation; and whether he will consider setting up a Departmental committee to inquire into the regulation of bonâ fide bone-setters and manipulative surgeons in England and Wales, with a view to introducing legislation so that all such persons practising shall pass tests of an examining committee to enforce the standard of qualification?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have been asked to reply to this question. My attention has not previously been called to the meeting to which the hon. and gallant Member refers, nor have I received a copy of the resolution. As regards the third part, the matter was fully discussed in the Debate on the 9th February of last year, and I have nothing to add to what I said then.
