Mr. AMMON

asked the Secretary of State for War the number of persons employed in the Army stores at Deptford; the quantity of goods handled; and the cost of the same?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

The answer to the first part of the question is 198 persons including four military officers and two other ranks. The tonnage handled in and out of the Depot in 1924–25 was 29,277 tons and the gross cost of the Depot was £52,406. Details of the cost of the Depot are given in the Army Annual Account, which will shortly be published.
