§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSThere were 1,255 claims by farmers and stock breeders. The total amount of the claims cannot readily be given, but the amount paid in respect of them was £5,300. The amount claimed by local authorities for damage to roads was £1,344. There are no claims outstanding under these heads, although there are claims under other heads.
