HC Deb 11 March 1926 vol 192 cc2615-6W

asked the Minister of Health whether, with reference to Form X 65 issued by him, he can explain why the employment of a pro- fessional cricketer or footballer comes within the category of employment by way of manual labour, whereas a golf professional does not come within that category?

I am advised that the difference rests upon decisions given in the Courts. If I might hazard a guess as to the distinction, I should say that the one case is that of a player, the other of a teacher.
