HC Deb 04 March 1926 vol 192 c1644W
Mr. VIANT

asked the Minister of Health if his attention has been directed to a letter received by the Willesden Board of Guardians from the Committee of the Royal School for Deaf and Dumb Children, Margate, making re-vaccination a condition of entry; and, seeing that this institution receives a grant-in-aid, will he issue instructions that re-vaccination must not be enforced?

Lord E. PERCY

I have been asked to reply to this question. Neither my right hon. Friend nor I have any information on the matter in question, but I may say that the Royal School for Deaf and Dumb Children at Margate is a voluntary institution, and it is not the practice of my Department to interfere with the discretion of the managers in selecting cases for admission, provided that all the cases actually admitted are suitable.
