HC Deb 04 March 1926 vol 192 cc1643-4W
Mr. LAWSON

asked the President of the Board of Education whether, under Memorandum 44, the Sunderland education authority will be permitted to proceed with its new central school, the extension of the technical college, and the provision of engineering equipment?

Lord E. PERCY

Provision for the extension of the technical college and the purchase of engineering equipment, and also for securing a site for a central school, is made in the authority's revised estimates for 1926–27, which are receiving consideration, but I am not yet in a position to announce my decision on these particular items.
