HC Deb 09 February 1926 vol 191 c884W
Colonel ENGLAND

asked the Minister of Transport if he is aware of the many complaints by manufacturers of the delays in goods traffic on the railways; and whether, in view, of the prejudicial effect on the trade of the country, there are any steps he can take?

Colonel ASHLEY

I am aware that complaints have been made of delay to goods traffic on the railways, more especially after the periods of fog and snow that have occurred during this winter. If the hon. Member will furnish me with particulars of any case he has in mind where he considers that a railway company have failed to take the necessary remedial measures, I will cause inquiries to be made.
