HC Deb 09 February 1926 vol 191 c876W
Mr. TINKER

asked the Secretary for Mines if he is now in a position to give an answer to the question asked him on 17th March, 1925, as to the cause of an explosion of firedamp on 3rd March, 1925, at No. 3 Colliery, Clock Face, St. Helens, Lancashire, resulting in injuries to two workmen?

Colonel LANE FOX

I am disappointed to have to say that, in spite of every effort, the cause of this explosion remains a mystery.
