HC Deb 15 December 1926 vol 200 cc2935-6W
Colonel DAY

asked the Secretary of State for Air the result of the tests of the new type of self-propelled parachute, by Lieut. Freri, of the Italian Air Force, at Stag Lane Aerodrome?

Sir S. HOARE

The trials of the new Italian parachute at Stag Lane were a private demonstration, in the course of which a successful descent was made from 1,200 feet by Lieut. Freri. Representatives of the Air Ministry attended by invitation, and the result of the test was considered to be sufficiently satisfactory to warrant further experiments.
