asked the Secretary for Mines the number of miners working on the latest available date in England, Scotland, and Wales; and the number working on 26th April last?

On 4th December there were 522,978 miners at work in England, 122,530 in Wales (including Monmouthshire), and 84,617 in Scotland. The corresponding figures for the 26th April, 1926, were 747,458, 234,077, and 124,646, respectively.
