HC Deb 15 December 1926 vol 200 c2947W
Mr. KELLY

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that on 28th.April the representative of the attendants at Somerset House agreed with that office to a settlement of their pay for night duty, and whether he will take steps to ensure that this arrangement is not departed from in any way?

Mr. McNEILL

I assume that in the last part of his question the hon. Member refers to proposals for transfer of work on night duty from staff of the Inland Revenue to staff of the Office of Works. It had been made clear before April to the representative of the men that such proposals were under consideration, and the settlement concluded was arrived at without prejudice to such proposals.
