§ Lieut.-Colonel JAMES
asked the Postmaster-General whether he will take steps in the near or immediate future to convert the Beckenham Post Office from a sub-office to a main office; and whether he is aware that very considerable inconvenience to the residents in this important area results from the present inadequate arrangements?
§ Mr. HARTSHORN
The conversion of Beckenham Post Office to a head office would not affect the facilities afforded to the public, and I see no reason for making the change, which would involve increased expense. If the hon. Member will indicate the nature of the inconvenience complained 1197W of by the residents, I will have inquiry made to see if any remedy is called for.
