HC Deb 04 March 1924 vol 170 c1197W
Mr. BOWERMAN

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has received representations from the borough council regarding the inadequate postal facilities at present existing in the business portion of Deptford, that no post office is open on Sundays, and wireless licences are only obtainable outside the borough; and whether he will consider the desirability of establishing a district post office for Deptford at some point between the Broadway and New Cross Gate?

Mr. HARTSHORN

I received such representations together with a request for the establishment of a branch post office for Deptford a few days ago. I am making inquiries, and will communicate with the hon. Member and the borough council as soon as these are complete.
