HC Deb 31 July 1924 vol 176 cc2286-7W
Mr. HOBHOUSE

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the Langport District Council propose to dispose of a plot of land of two acres at Long Sutton, which was purchased with a loan paid for by the rates raised solely from the parochial area of Long Sutton, and that the parochial committee and the ratepayers of Long Sutton are unanimous, apart from the proposed purchaser, in objecting to the proposed sale; and whether he will inquire into the matter, and take steps so that the land is not disposed of except in a manner which will secure the recreation ground which the local ratepayers of Long Sutton desire?

Mr. WHEATLEY

I have no information with regard to this proposal, but will make inquiries.
