The number of qualified officer pilots in the general duties branch fit for full flying duties and stationed in the United Kingdom is 1,171. In addition, there are 38 qualified officer observers, 62 fully qualified non-commis-1904W sioned officer pilots, and 220 officers and 15 non-commissioned officers under flying instruction.
