HC Deb 14 July 1924 vol 176 c54W
Viscount CURZON

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been drawn to the very serious coast erosion now going on at Selsey; whether he is aware that the Minister of Agriculture has stated that he has no power to deal directly with such a situation; whether the prevention of this coast erosion would provide valuable work for the unemployed and, in view of its urgency, whether he can give immediate and favourable consideration to taking steps to deal with it under one of the unemployment relief schemes?

Mr. BUXTON

I have been asked to reply. Yes, Sir; and I am ascertaining whether an unemployment relief scheme can be usefully carried out.
