HC Deb 27 February 1924 vol 170 c510W
Mr. STRANGER

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether, as a precaution against unemployment which may follow the introduction of wages boards for agricultural workers, he will take steps to introduce legislation to extend the Unemployment Insurance Act so as to include insurance of agricultural workers?

Mr. SMITH

I have been asked to reply. My right hon. Friend is considering in conjunction with the Minister of Labour the general question of the desirability of providing unemployment insurance for agricultural workers.
