HC Deb 21 March 1923 vol 161 c2605W
Mr. C. ROBERTS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the deputations coming from different communities in Kenya to discuss their problems with the Secretary of State for the Colonies, he will secure that the Indians in Kenya shall. have their direct representatives in this country at the same time?

Mr. ORMSBY-GORE

A telegram has been sent to the Governor of Kenya making it clear that in the matter of discussion with my right hon. Friend the Indian deputation, if sent, will be afforded equal opportunity with the deputation which the European community propose to send, and expressing the hope that the two deputations will come to England at the same time.
