HC Deb 23 April 1923 vol 163 cc63-4W
Mr. T. THOMSON

asked the Minister of Health whether he proposes to apply Section 63 of the Housing of the Working Classes Act, 1890, to the houses to be erected under his new Bill and so disqualify those in receipt of poor relief from becoming or remaining tenants of houses erected by local authorities?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The section referred to was repealed by the Housing, Town Planning, etc., Act, 1909, and will not, therefore, apply to houses erected under the provisions of the new Bill.
