Mr. YOUNGThe estimated cost to the revenue of a reduction of 1d. per pint in the duty on beer as now sold would be approximately £26 million. A reduction 581W of 1d. per lb. in the duties on tea and sugar would cost approximately £1½ million and £11 million respectively.
