§ Mr. REMERasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the fact that, in the regulations for new houses under the housing scheme, a clause in many cases is put in the agreement that no poultry is to be kept; and whether, seeing that the Minister of Agriculture is encouraging people to keep poultry in the vicinity of their houses, he will reconsider the desirability of retaining the clause in question?
§ Sir A. MONDThe general management and control of houses provided by local authorities is entirely a matter for the local authorities, and is not a subject of Departmental regulation. I do not think that the particular matter referred to is one in which I can interfere with the discretion of the local authority.
