asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the number of postal packages detained and examined by the Board of Customs in London for the purpose of collecting duties under the Safeguarding of Industries and the German Reparations (Recovery) Acts from 1st October to 31st March; the amount of the duties so collected; whether he can give similar figures for the port of Grimsby; and the number of packages detained by the Customs for over one month?
