§ Lieut.-Colonel STANLEYThe War Office has already been in communication with the hon. and gallant Member regarding the case of Private Smith. At the time when he was awarded the disability allowance, this award disqualified him from remaining a member of the Army Reserve and receiving reserve pay. I regret his case cannot be reconsidered and his discharge from the Reserve cancelled.
