HC Deb 20 June 1921 vol 143 c907W
Mr. CAIRNS

asked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that the old ferry boat service between North and South Blyth, Northumberland, has been discontinued; that the harbour commissioners have substituted a small motor boat, which is inconvenient; that in this populous district there is much discontent expressed; and can he have the old service re-established?

Sir E. GEDDES

I have no information in regard to this matter, and I do not appear to have any power to require the re-establishment of the ferry service referred to.
