HC Deb 02 June 1921 vol 142 c1264W
Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of new conditions of carriage by rail adopted by railway companies respecting proof of delivery of traffic to consignees and affecting the conditions under which claims for loss or damage of traffic during transit are allowed; and whether it is the intention that conditions of transit by rail under company or owner's risk consignment notes, or apart from the general conditions in the provisional proposals for the revision of railway classification, will be reviewed by the Railway Rates Advisory Committee or the proposed Railway Rates Tribunal?

Mr. NEAL

I am not aware that the railway companies have adopted any new conditions of carriage, but I shall be glad to consider any information the hon. Baronet may bring to my notice. In regard to the latter part of the hon. Member's question I would refer him to the terms of the Railways Bill.
