HC Deb 21 April 1921 vol 140 c2091W
Mr. WISE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has any information that Russian gold is sent to the United States of America via Sweden, and that in Stockholm the gold is melted and gets the Swedish mint stamp, and is eventually thrown upon the markets of the world and in this way the origin of the gold is not traceable; and, if so, can he take steps to stop it through our Russian trade agreement?

Lieut.-Commander YOUNG

The answer to both parts of the question is in the negative.
