HC Deb 29 November 1920 vol 135 cc945-6W
Major KERR-SMILEY

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether a memorial has been received from the labourers residing in or about Bendooragh, in the rural district of Ballyniney, praying the Local Government Board of Ireland to exert its good offices with the view of securing for them sanitary cottages, as the present residences are unfit for human habitation; and what steps the Board intends to take?

Sir H. GREENWOOD

The Local Government Board have received a memorial, signed, amongst others, by the president of the Bendooragh Labourers' Society, and have forwarded it to the Ballymoney Rural District Council. A special meeting of the council was summoned for the 25th inst. to consider what steps should be taken to carry out the improvement scheme already authorised.
