HC Deb 25 November 1920 vol 135 cc663-4W
Sir G. COLLINS

asked the Secretary of State for War the amount allocated in the Army Estimates for this year for expenditure actually incurred or expenditure unavoidable for winding up the War; will the above amount be spent in the present financial year; and what further sums will be required during the coming financial year?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The amount included in the current year's Army Estimates for terminal charges of the War was £29,500,000, as shown in the Vote on account of 16th February last. As far as I can say at present, this sum will be spent this year. I cannot yet say what provision will be necessary for such terminal charges next year.
