HC Deb 24 November 1920 vol 135 cc444-5W
Mr. ORMSBY - GORE

asked the Minister of Pensions if he will state the names of the persons appointed to serve on the Departmental Committee on Pensions Administration; and whether he has appointed, or will appoint, anyone on that Committee familiar with Poor Law administration in order that the problem of applications by ex-service men for poor relief may be examined in its relation to the present pensions system?

Major TRYON

As regards the first part of the question, I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer given to the hon. Member for Spen Valley (Mr. Myers) on the 18th November. The inquiry is concerned solely with the administrative machinery of the Ministry, and the difficulty referred to would, therefore, be outside the scope of the Committee's investigation.
