HC Deb 05 May 1920 vol 128 cc2106-7W
Brigadier-General COLVIN

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether cases have arisen of temporary officers of the Tank Corps who were given temporary promotion during 1919 being subsequently refused pay allowances and gratuity of that temporary rank; and whether the authority to appoint to temporary rank by Tank Corps Headquarters is now being disputed by the War Office to the detriment of officers who continued to serve on the understanding that they received temporary rank?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

I understand a question of this kind has arisen, and hope to be shortly in a position to communicate a decision to my hon. and gallant Friend.
