§ Mr. KELLAWAY
I have no information of the prices of the various classes of2426W wagons built in railway shops, nor of the prices asked for by outside firms for the same class of wagons, other than the figures contained in the Report of the Statement by the right hon. Gentleman, the Minister of Transport, at the Conference held by hon. Members of this House on the 10th December last. The classes of wagons now being built at Woolwich are:
- (1) Twelve-ton high wagons with wood underframes. Price £170, exclusive of the cost of certain materials and components which are being supplied by the railway company.
- (2) Twelve-ton open goods wagons with iron underframes. Price £297.
