HC Deb 28 June 1920 vol 131 c47W

Mr. LYNN asked the Home Secretary under what rules persons other than relatives were permitted to visit Sinn Fein prisoners in Wormwood Scrubs; and whether he will give the names of such persons and the dates on which they visited the prison?

Mr. SHORTT: The rules laid down that ordinary visits should be confined to near relations, but special visits were allowed during the hunger strike in certain cases, with the concurrence of the Chief Secretary. I do not think any purpose would be served by giving the names and dates.
