HC Deb 07 July 1920 vol 131 c1462W
Captain BOWYER

asked the Secretary of State for War whether a bounty of £50 was promised to every soldier who volunteered for service in Russia last year; whether, if this be so, what Department is responsible for the payment of this sum; and whether if an actual case is placed before him of refusal by the War Office to pay this sum to the father of a soldier who was killed on active service in the Russian Relief Force, he will take steps to see that immediate payment is made?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

No bounty of any kind was promised to any volunteer for Russia.
