HC Deb 07 July 1920 vol 131 cc1461-2W
Mr. C. PALMER

asked the Secretary of State for War whether having regard to the statements made by General Golovin in connection with the sending of British troops to Archangel, he will consider the advisability of recommending the Army Council to cancel the severe reprimand of the court-martial that tried the case of Major Sherwood Kelly, V.C., whose offence was writing to the Press protesting against troops sent to Russia for defensive purposes being used for offensive purposes in furtherance of an ambitious scheme of campaign?

Mr. CHURCHILL

In view of the fact that Major Sherwood Kelly was convicted by court-martial of contravening the provisions of paragraph 453, King's Regulations, the question does not arise.
