HC Deb 07 July 1920 vol 131 c1476W
Mr. LUNN

asked the Minister of Transport if certain railway companies who have allowed inter-availability of season and traders' tickets hitherto have withdrawn this arrangement, with certain exceptions, from 1st July, 1920; who are the exceptions; and whether or not this facility is likely to be restored to other people?

Mr. NEAL

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. In a few instances where the train service between certain places is still restricted and considerably below the normal, the arrangement is being continued as a temporary measure. No discrimination is made between different persons holding the same class of tickets. I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton West (Mr. Bird) on 14th June, of which I am sending him a copy.
